Either Ted or Joanna have been the featured speakers at Brookdale College, MAECOM, Chambers of Commerce, Rotary Clubs, Kiwanis, etc.

In 1996 Excel Travel was featured in the Sunday Edition of the Asbury Park Press Business Section (front page!) with the headline "Fruits of Their Travel".

From 1996 to 1998 Excel Travel wrote a travel column for the HUB.

In 1998 Excel Travel was the recipient of the Eastern Monmouth Area Chamber of Commerce Spinnaker Award for Community Service, and received a joint legislative resolution, presented by Assemblyman Steve Corodemus.

From 1998 to 2000 Excel Travel had its own radio talk show on WCNJ.

In 2001 Ted served as the Chairman of the Eastern Monmouth Area Chamber of Commerce.

Every year since 1996, Excel Travel was honored by Travel Impressions with the “Best of the Best” award.
